Thank you for your wilderness reservation request. We have received and processed one of your choices. You will receive a written confirmation in the mail within two weeks. Your confirmation will specify entry trailhead and dates granted. We do not mail out permits. Permits must be picked up in person at a permit station during business hours. Permits will be issued no earlier than a day in advance or the morning of your trip before 10:00am. Permits are cancelled on the entry date at 10:00am, unless requested to be held longer. To request a reservation to be held on the entry date until closing, call (209) 372-0308. Requests for holding a permit can be made no more then two days in advance.

If you made your request less than 2 weeks in advance, a written confirmation letter is not necessary to pick up your permit. Please go to a permit station and provide the last name under which the reservation was made.

This message confirms your reservation!
