Sailing sabots and having fun on the beach, the scouts were completing the practical part of the sailing meritbadge. We encourage scouts to attend for service hours.&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://troop14scouts.org/News/View.aspx?Articleid=13</link></item><item><title>Troop Committee meeting Notes</title><description>&lt;p&gt;The meeting was attended by Brian M, Jim T, Ted, Ron L, Richard D, Ken L, me and select parents.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ted reviewed the program plan through July 2008 which includes an outdoor campout every month including Joshua Tree, Will J Reid Advancement Camp, CDedar Glen backpack trip, Santa Fe Dam Camporee, Kern River Rafting, Yosemite backpack trip, and Tahquitz summer camp.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ted reviewed Eagle COH plans for Ian, Dieter and Kye and identified any loose ends for task assignments&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Adult Leadership&amp;nbsp;- Ken LeBlanc was selected by uninamous vote to transition the troop finance responsibilities.&amp;nbsp; Ted will review and submit our charter renewal form.&amp;nbsp; Ted recommended that we identify 4-5 assistant scoutmaster positions to be filled with some of the new parents.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Rechartering - Letter was sent home to parents about renewing and fees for the upcoming year.&amp;nbsp; Our annual dues will remain the same for the last 3 years.&amp;nbsp; Ken will track scout / adult leadership renewal fees for chartering and Richard will send signature cards for bank accounts.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Finance Report - Richard reported a troop balance of $3766.18 before income and expenses submitted at the meeting.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Troop Newsletter.&amp;nbsp; I will put together a troop newsletter for the COH on monday and to be mailed to parents who don't show up to COH.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Our next Meeting is scheduled for 12/13/07 - 2nd Thu of Dec.&lt;/p&gt;
